Vehicle cleaning FAQs

Mobile Car Valet Frequently Asked Questions

These are the most commonly asked questions about our car valeting service. If you have a different question, feel free to contact us for more information.

How much does valet cleaning cost?

Every vehicle comes to us in a different state of cleanliness, so the cost of valet cleaning varies accordingly.

After an initial phone consultation we are able to advise you on the best course of action and let you know the cost of the job before we start.

How do you wash my car without using water?

Our spray-on, wipe-off, earth-friendly liquid removes dirt from the paint’s surface. All that remains is a light residue, which we remove with our super-soft microfibre towel to leave your car shiny and protected.

Will valeting scratch my car?

Absolutely not. Our products are 100% scratch-free and have been thoroughly tested and used for over 20 years by valeting professionals. We regularly clean and protect many vehicles, including many luxury brands.

How long does it take to valet a vehicle?

For most cars, the service takes from one to four hours, depending on the condition of your vehicle and the level of service you require. For large vehicles such as trucks and tractors, it can take up to a day and a half. Ask your local Mobile Car Valet owner how long it will take to clean your car at the time of arrival.

Where can I get a valet clean?

We are mobile and can come to you. A valet can be done almost anywhere, depending on weather conditions, such as a car park, on the street, at your home or where you work. We can also take your vehicle, valet it offsite and return it to you when we’ve finished.

Is it better for the environment to clean my vehicle at home or take it to a waterless car valet?

Most people don’t know the environmental impact of washing their cars at home. It takes up to 300 litres of water to wash a car, and treated water often contains lime, chlorine, calcium and other unwanted chemicals. The waste water, soap, cleaners, road grime and oil all filter into the ground and can run into the storm system. These pollutants then flow directly into our lakes, streams and rivers. Parking lot charity washes are the same, although councils are requiring water to be diverted from the storm water drains. They use an excessive amount of water and pollute the environment. Mobile Car Valet does not waste water.

Are your cleaning products bad for the environment?

Our products are safe for the environment, as we leave virtually nothing on the ground.

Will frequent cleaning ruin the finish of my vehicle?

Frequent cleaning is good for your vehicle. Most vehicle manuals advise you to get your car professionally cleaned every six months because clear coat treatments and wax protect your vehicle from the damaging effects of weather or UV damage.  Enquire about our car detailing service to further protect your vehicle.

Is it safe for you to valet my convertible?

Yes, we regularly clean convertibles at Mobile Car Valet, including classic and luxury cars.

Are tinted windows okay to valet?

Yes. Our glass treatment is suitable for all types of car windows.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Please check with your local dealer.  We offer eftpos, and may accept gift vouchers or direct credits via internet banking and phone banking.

What if I don’t have the time or money to clean my vehicle regularly?

A car is usually the second most expensive item you’ll own next to a house. It’s worth protecting it so it lasts longer. We offer safe, fast, high-quality cleans at affordable prices.
